SENIOR SCAMS, FRAUD & ID THEFT SEMINAR
The Activities Committee is pleased to present the second lecture in its Summer Learning Series on Thursday, June 18 at 10:30 in the Clubhouse.
The topic is SENIOR SCAMS, FRAUD & ID THEFT, timely subject matter sure to be of interest to all of us. Leading the session is Stacey Adams, Financial Education Advisor, and Jimmy Tasevoli, Financial Fraud Investigator, of Founders Credit Union.
They will be discussing how to protect yourself from scams, fraud, ID theft, and AI theft. Jane Higgins of the Activities Committee is the primary host of the event. There is no charge to attend; but please reserve your seat by signing up on the list in the lobby.
Join us on Saturday, July 4 at 12:00 as we celebrate America’s 250th (semiquincentennial) birthday. The theme of this year’s party is an old-fashioned all-American cookout with hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, slaw, chips, and birthday cake. Beverages include tea, lemonade, soft drinks, and water. Please feel free to bring your favorite beverage.
A special exhibit on the Declaration of Independence and the American Revolution will be on display in the card room. There’ll also be games including cornhole and pin-a-star-on-the flag. And don’t miss your chance to win one of many doorprizes! Remember, too, that the pool is open and ready for your after party dip.
The cost to attend is $5 for residents and $10 for guests. Sign up and pay in the lobby by Monday, June 29 at 12:00 noon. Dress to impress in red, white, and blue or colonial era attire. Looking forward to seeing you at this once-in-a-lifetime American celebration!
